A New Year, A New Introduction

A new year always brings a quiet invitation to pause. To reflect. To reintroduce ourselves not just to others, but sometimes to who we are becoming.

So if you’re new here, or if you’ve been part of this journey for a while, I wanted to take a moment to properly introduce myself.

Hi, I’m Christina, founder of Joyasol.

I started Joyasol because I felt there weren’t enough shoes on the market that were stylish, truly comfortable, and beautifully made, while also serving a deeper purpose. I wanted shoes you could actually live in. Shoes that supported real life, not just special occasions.

From the beginning, Joyasol has been rooted in the belief that comfort and craftsmanship should never be compromised. That thoughtful design, ethical production, and everyday ease can coexist beautifully.

Over the years, Joyasol has grown in ways I could never have imagined. We’ve been honored to be featured in leading fashion publications, moments that still feel surreal and deeply meaningful. But behind every milestone has been a lot of unseen work.

Building a brand is rarely glamorous. There have been many late nights, wearing countless hats, and learning as I go. Doing this while navigating motherhood added another layer entirely. Balancing creativity, business, and family life hasn’t always been easy, and there were moments that felt overwhelming.

But it has also been incredibly rewarding.

Getting to do what I love every day, creating something with intention, and hearing from women who feel more comfortable, confident, and supported in their everyday lives makes it all worth it.

Where and how our shoes are made has always mattered deeply to me. Joyasol styles are ethically made in Portugal, working with skilled artisans and responsibly sourced materials. Portugal’s rich shoemaking tradition allows us to focus on quality, small batch production, and craftsmanship designed to last. Read more about this here and here. 

This philosophy comes to life in our newest style, the Alma Cowboy Boot. Crafted from ultra soft suede, Alma is designed to mold to your feet over time and feel comfortable right out of the box. It’s a modern take on a classic silhouette, made to move effortlessly through everyday life.

As we step into a new year, my hope is to continue creating with intention, staying grounded in purpose, and offering pieces that bring a little more joy and ease into daily routines.
