My love for shoes goes back as far as I can remember. From playing dress-up as a little girl to later working in the footwear industry, I’ve always loved the way the right pair of shoes can completely change how you feel.

But Joyasol was born from something deeper.

After a sudden loss in my family, I was reminded just how short life can be. It changed the way I thought about what I wanted to create, how I wanted to spend my time and the kind of life I wanted to build.

I dreamed of creating a shoe brand that brought together the things I cared about most: beautiful design, exceptional craftsmanship, comfort, travel, thoughtful production and giving back.

That idea became Joyasol.

Today, each collection is designed in California and brought to life with skilled makers in Portugal, with the hope that every pair inspires you to go somewhere, do something you love and enjoy the life you’re living.

If there’s one thing I hope Joyasol reminds you of, it’s this: life is short. Wear the shoes. Take the trip. Go after what you want. And find a little joy along the way.
