My love for shoes goes back as far as I can remember. From playing dress up as a young girl to working for a shoe company, I’ve always been obsessed with shoes and how they make us look and feel — happy, confident, spicy. When a sudden death in the family upended my life, it made me realize how short life is, what really matters and that we must pursue our passions before it’s too late. I noticed there weren’t enough stylish shoe brands that shared the same values as me — sustainability, fair working conditions and an emphasis on giving back. 

That’s when it clicked, I was going to create a shoe company that combined all these things — Joyasol began. 

If you only take one thing away from this story of mine let it be this — life is short. Go after what you want, stay true to yourself and find joy every day.
