It is with great honor to introduce the next woman in our Inspiring Women blog series. Meet Cherise Bryant.

From a professional dancer with Bruno Mars to a mom of three to a world-class wellness professional, Cherise is a beautiful soul inside and out. Our founder, Christina, met Cherise on a wellness retreat earlier this year and was so inspired by her story, wisdom, joy, and strength that she couldn't wait to feature her on this blog. So without further ado, meet Cherise. 

Christina: Hi Cherise! Thanks so much for taking the time to chat with us. Can you tell us a bit about your background and what you do?

Cherise: Hello there! Thank you for having me! I started dance as a toddler and then went to a performing arts school through grade school.

At the age of 14 and 16, I traveled to different cities in Sweden to teach dance and perform. At that moment I knew that I wanted to become a professional dancer. I studied dance at the University of California, Irvine and worked as a professional dancer for two decades.

After giving birth to my first son I feel back in love with my roots in Pilates and also began teaching Barre and Dance fitness classes. At this point of my life it was important to regain my strength and my confidence as a new mom and I loved inspiring women to feel comfortable in their bodies and fall in love with movement. I’ve been teaching Pilates, Dance fitness and Barre ever since.

Christina: What were some of the challenges you’ve faced, and how did you overcome them?

Cherise: The pandemic was extremely challenging to find the motivation to keep going. One day, I literally decided to take the plunge and teach online classes. From there I had such a strong community of women who gathered online daily for movement.

Christina: That's so great! As a successful woman in business, what advice would you give to other women?

Cherise: It sounds cliche but never stop sharing what you love and what inspires and drives you.

Christina: Love that. Do you have any tips for women on finding their purpose and calling in life?
Cherise: I love that we have so many resources to tap into. Life coaching, meditation, breath work and finding a strong sense of self with help you attract your tribe or community.

Christina: What do you enjoy doing outside of work and what brings you joy?
Cherise: I love exploring with my family. As a mom of three I love hiking, beach days, Disneyland and visiting my sister who lives in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Christina: What’s your personal style? What makes you feel your best and most confident self? 
Cherise: I love wearing exactly what I feel comfortable in. I love wearing a cute sport bra and high waisted leggings with sneakers while teaching. Or a beautiful casual dress with cute sandals.

Christina: What do you think of your new Joyasol Paisley sneakers in gold? 

Cherise: I love my Joyasol sneakers. I teach dance fitness classes and was amazed how comfortable they feel.
