The 5 things we never leave the house without

We were recently featured in a Marie Claire article called “I’m a Travel Writer and I don't go anywhere without these 10 items.” We’re honored to have been included and that our Paisley sneakers were named “insanely comfortable white sneakers.” We couldn’t agree more! This got us thinking more about not only travel, but the things we never leave the house without. Being a busy mom of 2 (very soon to be 3), our founder, Christina Bullock, is excited to share the top 5 things she never leaves her house without.

Carry-All Tote

While I’m petite I still prefer a large bag that can hold it all, but not overwhelm my smaller frame. A few months ago I scored this super cute woven cane bag from L Space. It the perfect size for carrying all my essentials and I love that it’s made from natural materials, like rattan and canvas. It’s sold out, but you can find a similar style here and here.

Sunscreen

In California, we get a lot of sun. But you don’t always want to smell like the beach every time you put on sunscreen. I recently discovered this Supergoop Play Sunscreen that I’m obsessed with. It goes on like lotion and doesn’t have a weird smell or greasy feel. Bonus that it’s made from clean ingredients and the kids don’t mind it!

Super Comfy Shoes

This one should come at no surprise, but I almost always leave the house wearing our Paisley sneakers. I intentionally designed our first shoe to be able to be dressed up or down and be comfortable wearing all day long. The first time I tried them on, I immediately knew we had a winner. Hand Cream

During the cooler months, my kiddos seem to always be catching colds. We try to keep our hands as clean as possible, but this often leaves them very dry. So I make sure to moisturize whenever we can. I’m obsessed with L’Occitane’s Shea Butter hand cream. The jumbo size is perfect for home, and on the go I can’t get enough of the mini ones. Tip: they’re great stocking stuffers!

Sunglasses

Sunglasses can fix everything, right? No makeup? One too many margs last night? Tired eyes from not getting enough zz’s after staying up all night with the baby? No problem. Just throw on a pair of oversized sunglasses and voilá! Some of my personal favorites I’ve had for years are from Saint Laurent, Dior and Gucci. While I’m not a big trend follower, I love that they seem to be now back in style!
