We’re heading to Portugal next week and packing our bags for a journey that will take us from Porto to the Douro to Cascais. This trip calls for effortless dresses, versatile separates, a classic trench, and of course Joyasol shoes — sneakers for cobblestone streets, flats for visits to our ethical factories, and heels for golden-hour dinners.

We’re also bringing along some of our new models, like the ballet flat and slingback heel, to give every outfit a little extra versatility and polish. Each piece in our capsule is designed to carry us through tiled alleyways, vineyard strolls, and seaside sunsets with style and intention.

Joyasol Staples

  • Paisley Sneakers (All White) Designed for all-day exploring. Ideal for cobblestone streets, castle climbs in Sintra, or winery visits in Douro Valley. They bring comfort without compromising style.

  • Zoey Heels (Bronze)— Our go-to for elevated evenings. Block-heeled and walkable, they’re perfect with silk dresses or tailored shirtdresses.

  • Joyasol Flats (Coming soon!) — A chic middle ground, ideal for gallery visits, café afternoons, or a more relaxed dinner.

  • Joyasol Sling Back Heels (Also coming soon!)— For unexpected rain or cooler nights by the coast, these boots bring structure and polish to dresses or wide-leg pants.

With these four pairs, every outfit feels grounded in Joyasol’s ethos: comfort, craftsmanship, and intentional living.

Hero Outer Layer

Burberry Chelsea Trench — The ultimate travel companion. This trench does it all: polishes a daytime look, shields you from misty Porto mornings, and transforms a slip dress into something cinematic for evening. It’s the piece you’ll thank yourself for packing again and again. We found ours on Poshmark, but you can find a similar Burberry one here and less expensive Ralph Lauren trench here

Dresses That Do Double Duty

  • The Tobie Shirt Dress (Anthropologie) — Crisp tailoring meets ease. Wear with sneakers for day, then belt and switch to heels for evening. We love all the colors but bought the Raspberry Plaid.

  • Tie-Waist Cotton Shirtdress (Derek Lam 10 Crosby) — Polished but relaxed, this shirtdress transitions beautifully with flats or heels. The olive color is such a great neutral and perfect for fall in Portugal.

  • Collar Detail Mix Midi Dress (Boden) — This versatile collared black midi dress will be perfect for everything from visting shoe factories to wandering around Porto to dinners.

  • Silk Slip Dresses (Quince in Wine, Brown & Forest Green) — Your ultimate night-out dress, but equally chic layered with a shirt or trench by day.

New Versatile Separates

  • Colette Magic Fabric Crop Wide-Leg Pants (Maeve, Anthropologie) — Fluid, flattering, and endlessly wearable. These pants let you break free from “all dresses” while staying elevated. Perfect with sneakers by day, Zoey heels by night.

  • Sundays Virginie Puff-Sleeve Collared Shirt (Anthropologie) — Romantic structure meets versatility. Wear tucked into the Colette pants, layered over a slip, or peeking out under a shirtdress. It adds dimension and balance to the capsule.

  • Australian Merino Wool Cable Sweater Vest (Quince) — A timeless layering piece that brings cozy texture without bulk. Toss it over a shirt dress, layer it with the silk slip, or wear it on its own with the Colette pants for a relaxed but refined travel look. The perfect layer for cooler evenings in Porto or breezy mornings along the Douro.

The Bag That Goes Everywhere

The Travel Elena Woven Tote (Milaner) — Polished yet roomy, this tote will see you from flight to market stroll. Neutral enough to pair with every outfit, textured enough to feel artisanal.

Packing Philosophy

This capsule is built on fewer, better pieces. Each one is versatile, timeless, and crafted with intention. By pairing Joyasol shoes with dresses, separates, and a classic trench, every outfit tells the same story: effortless European elegance with California ease.

Because when you travel with intention, what you wear is more than clothing — it’s how you show up for the memories you’re about to make.
